Ace

ACE'S STANDING OVATION is a big, beautiful black gelding standing 15.1 hands. Born January 7, 1995. Blue paper registry.

Did you read The Black Stallion by Walter Farley? This is Ace, a true black with a thick luscious mane and tail. He has presence and charisma.

National model champion for fox trotter stallions in 1998, he is the most beautiful horse on the ranch.

On the trail, Ace is quiet enough for a beginning rider. Fearless and brave, he loves to lead. No obstacles — streams, logs, a scary tractor — get in his way.

He carries himself proudly, turning heads where ever he goes. Riding Ace is a rush.

About Missouri Fox Trotters: Did You Know?

When fox trotting, the head and tail are slightly elevated, giving the horse a graceful carriage. The rhythmic beat of the hooves, along with the nodding action of the head, give the horse an appearance of relaxation and poise.

The ideal fox trotter travels with animation, rhythm and style. The horse travels in a collected manner, and the trotting carries a rhythm. The head should nod, the ears should indicate the step, and the tail should be part of the rhythm.

The step should be springy, consistent and smooth. The up and down motion should not be noticeable, but rather a smooth gliding gait without swinging.
